Live fish, overnight.
Everything about how your fish travel: when we ship and why, how we pack them, what it costs, and what to do the day they arrive.
Overnight only. You choose the ship date in your bag; they arrive the next day.
Priced by the boxes your fish need and the distance — you see the exact price before paying.
A photo of the unopened bag within 2 hours of delivery and we replace or refund the fish.
The 48 states and D.C. — not Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, territories, military addresses or other countries.
Why only Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday?
A delayed box should cost a day, never a weekend.
Overnight boxes sometimes slip a day. Shipping early in the week means a late box still arrives on a weekday — a box shipped on Thursday or Friday that slips would sit in a warehouse until Monday.
We don’t ship the day before a carrier holiday, for the same reason. If your date falls on one, we’ll email you to move it.
If it is too hot or too cold where the box travels — here, at the carrier’s hubs or at your door — we hold your order and email you a new date. Your fish wait safely in our tanks.
Choose the ship date in your bag. Plan to be home the next day: the box needs you, not your porch.
How we pack them.
The same way every time, the day of your ship date.
No food for 24 hours before they travel, so the water in the bag stays clean overnight.
Clean tank water in breathable bags (or oxygen-filled bags), double-bagged and wrapped so nothing presses on them. Groups are split across bags, so one bag never carries every fish.
A thick foam box inside a cardboard shipper. In cold weather a heat pack, in hot weather a cold pack — always wrapped and never touching a bag.
Marked to keep upright and handled with care. You get the tracking number by email as soon as it’s on its way.
What shipping costs.
Priced the way the carrier charges us — no flat fee that overcharges nearby customers.
A trio counts as three fish, a group of 10 as ten. We pick the cheapest set of boxes that carries them safely.
Small: up to 4 fish · Medium: up to 10 fish · Large: up to 20 fish. Carriers bill a box by its size or its weight, whichever is more.
From our fish room in Northeast Florida to your ZIP code, in carrier zones 2 to 8 — the further, the more.
$12 per box for the foam box, bags, oxygen and heat or cold pack.

When the box arrives.
Bring it inside straight away and keep it closed until you’re ready. Open it in a dim room, check the bags — and if a fish didn’t make it, take a clear photo of it in the unopened bag before anything else. Then follow the four acclimation steps: about 30–45 minutes, lights low, float, mix, net — never pour the bag water into your tank.
